Lifestyle and Functional Medicine is an emerging and rapidly growing field in the USA and UK. Lifestyle and Functional Medicine is a (newer) healthcare model that does not replace traditional western medicine, it simply enhances and compliments it with a special focus on chronic disease which primarily stems from lifestyle choices.
With a special interest in health technology, education, prevention and lifestyle medicine, Ms Creaven offers nutrition and wellness services to a range of clients from the private individual to corporate wellbeing packages for larger organisations. By working closely with her clients, Maev delivers personalised programmes, whilst working within the boundaries of evidence based medicine and combine this with patient-specific factors to create lifestyle programmes to empower, support and improve health.
In 2016 Maev founded Functional Medicine Conference (FMC) Ltd after recognising the need to bring the worlds best educators of Lifestyle and Functional Medicine to Ireland. FMC offers international trainings in Ireland to medical doctors, nutritional and healthcare professionals. Functional Medicine Conference has been the only Irish organisation to partner with the global leader, The Institute for Functional Medicine [IFM] from the United States and continues to develop and grow this relationship.
Maev also holds advisory positions for sports teams, healthcare and supplement companies. Maev enjoys being active from yoga to spending time outdoors, with a great interest in cooking and travelling.
